    Parametric design as a design principle

    Parametric design has gained a clear place within architecture and interior design in recent years. Whereas it was previously mainly associated with experimental forms or digital design methods, it is now increasingly being translated into concrete applications that add spatial quality. Wall panels serve as an interesting example in this regard. 

    What makes parametric design special is the combination of logic and expression. Patterns do not arise randomly, but from a system of variation, repetition, and interrelationships. As a result, surfaces gain a rhythm that feels both controlled and dynamic. In an interior, this can have a lot of impact on how a wall is perceived. 

    The role of acoustics in spatial perception

    That is also relevant at material level. The soft, matte appearance of acoustic felt prevents the parametric complexity from appearing too technical or too harsh visually. As a result, the pattern can be quite pronounced, while the space remains accessible and balanced. 

    Parametric design in wall panels is therefore not merely a formal trend. It is primarily a way to introduce more layers into an interior: visually, spatially, and acoustically. The wall will do more. It not only absorbs sound, but also contributes to rhythm, light interaction, and identity.
