The Japandi Wall is made of PET felt of which at least 50% is recycled material.

The Japandi Wall is available in two thicknesses:

• 9 mm: Width 60 cm, Height 240 cm
• 12 mm: Width 54 cm, Height 278 cm

This material is available in a minimum of 50 different colours.

• The 9 mm panels are offered in at least 32 colours.
• The 12 mm panels are available in at least 18 colours.

The base material from which the felt panels are cut has been tested in accordance with EN-13501 and classified as fire rating B-s1, d0.

The panel has a self-adhesive backing. The self-adhesive backing is a supporting factor. It makes light-weight gluing easy provided the substrate is flat, dirt- and oil-free. We recommend additional gluing of the panel with a better sealant.

The dimensions on the drawings are listed in millimetres. The first drawing represents the 9 mm panel, while the second drawing illustrates the 12 mm panel.

Our products are made from recycled PET, minimal colour differences may occur per production batch. No rights can be derived from this.

When the surface of the PET felt product is larger than 1m², the adhesive backing is a supporting factor. We recommend additional gluing of the product with the better mounting kit for placement on the wall or ceiling.

CAUTION: the felt should not be exposed directly to sunlight, this may cause discolouration!

PET felt offers several advantages over wooden panels: 

• Acoustic properties: PET felt absorbs sound, which helps to significantly reduce reverberation in spaces. Unlike wood, which can reflect sound and contribute to noise pollution, PET felt provides a dampening effect that improves the acoustics within a room.  
• Aesthetic and functional flexibility: PET felt is available in various colours and thicknesses, and can be cut into different shapes and patterns. This offers the freedom to create unique and striking visual elements that are not possible with wooden panels.  
• Easy installation: Unlike wooden panels, which often require complex assembly, PET felt is relatively easy to install. It does not require any special tools or treatment.

The panel is equipped with a self-adhesive back, which makes installation easier. For good adhesion, a flat, clean, and grease-free surface is essential. We recommend additionally gluing the panel with a high-quality mounting adhesive for a strong and durable fixation.

Yes, the Japandi Wall can be easily cut to size. The material, made from sustainable PET felt, can be trimmed to the desired dimensions with a sharp knife. This makes it easy to customise the panels to fit your specific space and design preferences.
